Dr. Charles Marotta is a Long Island, New York native whom relocated to Toms River, New Jersey in 2018. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Miami University where he was also a member of the weight lifting team. In 2015 he received his Master’s in Public Health from Rutgers University. At Rutgers, Dr. Charles conducted research on over-the-counter pain medication use trends through New Jersey Poison Control and also volunteered in the Operating Room at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.  Following his passions that revolve around the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and overall wellness, Dr. Charles enrolled in New York Chiropractic College and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Masters in Clinical Applied Nutrition in 2018.

Dr. Charles is versed in a variety of physical rehabilitation techniques and has earned certifications in Graston and FAKTR Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapies, Rock Taping, Activator Methods, and is full body Active Release Techniques certified.

Dr. Charles Marotta was the clinical director of the Wall, New Jersey office of Thompson Healthcare and Sports Medicine where he helped to grow a start-up office, treated as the lead chiropractor and managed and led a team of integrated health professionals including Nurse Practitioners,  a board certified Internist, Occupational therapists, as well as an Acupuncturist.  Dr. Charles became the owner of Plaza Chiropractic and Sports Medicine in 2021 in order bring his training and experience to serve the residents of Old Bridge and the surrounding area, and help continue the tradition of excellence in patient care of Plaza Chiropractic Center.
